Spreading the good word in Sin City

8 01 2013

Mike Leonard‘s been holding it down in Las Vegas for some time now.

Always spreading the good word and reppin’ the 24″ at the skateparks, the trails and the 4130 Sin City Rides.

Mike’s also been on a bit of a tear lately…putting in some serious riding at Bootleg Canyon and Anthem Skatepark.

Sal Alvarado, a rad MTB rider in his own right, has been right there with him and has started to snap a few pictures along the way to document the action.

Here’s just a few of the good ones that have surfaced the past few days after a session at Anthem. I have a feeling there’s more to come of this stuff in 2013!

Busting on the big table at Anthem.

*an alternate caption could be: Tail tap on the light pole to front wheel tap on the sun (kinda looks that way, don’t it?)

See where a 24″ will take you

7 12 2012

You’ll sometimes hear people say that 24s aren’t built or designed for serious riding.

A load of bollocks in my view but an opinion that is pretty common in some circles.

If you want some evidence of how out of step that type of thinking is, especially with modern-day 24s, check out this picture posted today on the Sunday Bikes site.

Jim C House Park

Riding at House Park in Austin, TX, Jim Cielencki hits this tricky feature where you have to take off early and pull out far enough to clear the bars. And just to keep things interesting, it narrows at the top and goes over-vert!

Clearly, 24s like the Sunday Wave-C that Jim is riding are capable of much more than liquor store runs (like some people will lead you to believe).

Modern-day 24s can go anywhere!

Bobby Parker to the rescue

15 05 2012

Just when I start thinking to myself,

Y’know, it’s been a while since we’ve had some good action shots on the site

Bobby Parker (from Sunday/Full Factory) comes through with some great pictures from a session at Marble Falls/Cottonwood Shores, Texas.

Check out this sweet one-foot tabe by Bobby…

And this rad shot of his friend Luke airing out (and the spooky looking area around the park)

To see out more pics from this fun looking session, go to the Full Factory Facebook page and look for Marble Falls/Cottonwood Shores session.

Another day, another web edit

2 09 2011

Stumbled on this second Daniel Ziller web edit when I was typing up the no brakes, no worries post.

Apparently all self-filmed…nice job.

Check it.
