With Interbike in full swing, video clips of all the new product lines are coming fast and furious from all the major BMX sites covering the event. Not surprisingly, most bike companies are highlighting their 20″ offerings in these clips and leaving out the 24s in their lineup.
Sunday, on the other hand, takes a decidedly different route and leads off their video clip with a look at their new 24s. Say what you will about Sunday, this is just another example of the level of support and innovation they’re bringing to the 24′ cruiser scene.
Vodpod videos no longer available.
Sunday 24s at Interbike 2010, posted with vodpod
Contrast that with We the People, who despite having a relatively long history of making great 24″ BMX bikes, do very little to promote them or grow the market. Checking out Vital BMX’s video of the WTP booth, you would never guess that they have one of the better 24s available. Seems crazy to not even mention it….especially given all the attention that Sunday has brought to the 24″ scene.
Very cool indeed. Any others showing 24s?
Where are the front brake forks? Or are they going to do a grand unveiling at the end of the show?
I about broke my foot on a foot jam last night at the park. I beggeth you please.
The front brake forks got lost in the van on the way out to the show!!! I was so bummed we didnt have them to show. But they are coming soon. Very soon. As in the next few months.
I know I am getting to be quite the pest at this point but Jim told me “Octoberish” on the forks. Next few months sounds like it could be Decemberish. I only ask as I have a new frame waiting to be built and I don’t want to get regular forks. I totally get that production can lag behind. Just wondering. Sorry to be a pain.
Big Model C fan here.
The only other cruiser mentioned in a clip is the 29″ Big Ripper by SE…looks like a cool bike to commute around on….but I haven’t seen anything thing else on 24s.
Not sure about the front brake forks…maybe Bobby Parker can give us an update from the show if he sees this.
I was watching these last night and I was also very suprised that We the People did not show theirs off.Sunday’s pro model looks amazing…
Whenever the forks do come out I hope(which I’m sure they will)
have removable brakemounts.
Also props to Sunday for bringin back chrome.
Thanks on the Chrome. Chrome will get you home!!!!
The first production run of the front brake forks will be welded bosses. We have been kicking around the idea of doing removable mounts on this fork. The only problem with doing removable mounts is that it raises the retail price of the fork considerably. So if someone wanted to buy an aftermarket Sunday 24″ fork and not run front brakes, they would be paying for a feature they will never use. This is something we are still debating on doing, but at least there will be a fork with 990 mounts coming soon.
Hey now that you mention it….
CHROME MODEL C PLEASE!!!!
I just got my first cruiser in 27 years… took it to the local skate park and I love it. It is all coming back to me… slowly, but it coming back.
The Sunday Model-C is a great ride!
I have last years model-C, black with gold stickers. The bike is awesome, haven’t ridden any other bikes since I got it.
I need those gold 24 inch rims with some V3 or Ratchet Hubs, can anyone help me find them please?
I like those gold clear pedals too.
Dans comp. is now carrying odyssey rims for the 24 and alienation as well.Looks like they have a lot more tuff 24 equipment for 2011,check it out.
Robert-
If you are looking to get gold 24″ Hazzard rims and hubs, I would do it now as we are discontinuing the ano gold color.
Say it ain’t so…I don’t whether to start a petition to save the gold ano or track down the remaining rims, buy them up and stockpile them.
I will get the rims, I want them, but who do I call? Can you guys at Sunday just get the rims?? Dan’s says they do not have the rims in stock. That is why I posted, I can’t find a source!!
The Model-C is sick.
I would just look wherever you can for the rims. I have my last one I am re-lacing to my wheel tonight. Your local bike shop might still be able to get them through other Odyssey distro’s like QBP or SBS or J & B. Its a stretch, but you might get lucky. Sorry to be Debbie Downer with the gold, but such is life.
