24″ STANCE X CULT collab cruiser

7 08 2023

Cult and Stance recently teamed up for a “street ready” collab that includes Stance socks and a 24″ cruiser as part of the package.

The bike features a black colorway on the front and cool intricate design on the mid to back portion.

Somewhat suprising, spec-wise, is the “100% aluminum” frame. For a supposedly street-oriented ride you would think it would be cro-mo. Surely, the skatepark photo on the Stance page would lead you to believe that. With that being said the fork is 100% cro-mo…so you have that durability up front.

However, the aluminum frame makes more sense when you look back at previous CULT collabs (like the Duffman cruiser). Those collabs also featured aluminum frames…maybe that’s CULT’s signature move for 24″ collabs? It sure seems that way.

Definitely the lighter option for quick street rips though…and maybe that’s the intent. The vintage loop tail rear end is a nice touch too.

Unfortunately, the Stance and Cult websites do not offer up much in the way of details on the geometry front but it does include a parts/spec breakdown. (Check it out here.)

If you’re in the market for a distinctive-looking 24″ and/or are a Cult fan, this bike should be right up your alley. Peep the pics and head over to Stance and/or Cult for more details.

Duff in the buff?

18 02 2016

We first laid on eyes on The Simpson/CULT Duffman cruiser back in 2013.

It was head-turner for a number of reasons:

  • It was a CULT cruiserCULT is usually all about the 20″
  • It was bright orange…with Duffman graphics
  • It was 6061 Aluminum (unusual for a CULT bike)
  • It was a freakin’ Duffman cruiser!

A rad collab bike to be sure.

But as we all know…a nice complete…while cool in its own right, will never be cooler than a custom bike built to a rider’s specifications.

And while many riders will use color for that custom lookBMX Museum member, audiosquare, went the opposite route.

He just didn’t dig the stock orange color.

So he stripped it right down.

Now, it sports a clean aluminum look.

And it totally changed the personality of the bike.

Nice job audiosquare.

This video seems fitting now, no?

PBR & SE team up for exclusive collab

31 07 2015

It’s been said more than once: cruisers and beer, they’re a match made in heaven.

And we’ve seen some attempts in the past to bring the two together.

The most recent example was Cult Bikes’ one-off Duffman Cruiser.  Granted, Duff beer is/was a fictional beer (word on the street is that there is now a licensed version of Duff Beer available in Chile).

Prior to that, Greg Mundy of Fireman’s Texas Cruzers teamed up with Brad Farbstein at Real Ale Brewing to create Fireman’s #4 Blonde.  And as a form of cross-promotion, Greg and Fireman then offered the Brewery Bike inspired by the beer.

Now it looks like this pairing of Beer and Cruisers is hitting the mainstream. National brand, Pabst Blue Ribbon (PBR) is partnering with SE Bikes for The PBR x OM Flyer.

PBR SE collab

Pabst approached SE to create a bike in their colorway (white, red, and blue)…however, they wanted it yesterday…so with a couple tweaks to the existing  2015 OM Flyer (new decals and pads) the PBR X OM Flyer was conceived.

The catch?

These won’t be available to the public.

Only 83 of these bikes were created, and will be used exclusively by the Pabst Blue Ribbon marketing team. They will  be riding them at sports events and other promo activities.

Bummer.

But wait….

I noticed on the pbr_miami instagram feed…where they also have the bike featured…they say in the caption that “One lucky person will win this bad boy…stay tuned for info“….Sounds like keeping a watch on their insta feed might be a good idea…snagging one of these would be quite the catch!

Now, I don’t know about you…but I need a cold one.

Cheers everybody…it’s the weekend.
